Dayak Forest Ancestor Amulet Charm...late 19th cent.... w/ provenance.

Description

This is an old and wonderful Dayak headhunter's forest ancestor charm/amulet from the 19th century.
Has good patina on it and inventory numbers (in white paint) at the looped base.
The ancestor (half animal/half man) carries a Mandau sword (or some such weapon/implement).
Mounted on custom metal stand.
Provenance: this is an ex Bruce Frank item  - published in his good catalog

This amulet measures about 4 inches in height.......He is a small fellow....but powerful!!!
