Presented is a vintage c. 1950s pair of earrings by Estela Popowski.
These are a stunning example of her mixed metals work.
Each depicts a stylized antelope in sterling and brass on a black resin (often misidentified as onyx!) background.
The backings and tops are sterling silver and these have their original screwbacks.
Note that the antelopes face in opposite directions so both will face forward when on the ears.
A fabulous Mexican mid-century design.
