    Description

    Here is a harder one to find -- up for sale is a bellbottom railroad lantern made by The Adams & Westlake Company. This is their Adlake Reliable three piece top model, with a last patent date from 1913. The lantern is embossed for GC&SF Ry (Gulf Colorado & Santa Fe) on the lid. The metal is uncleaned and is in very good condition. No dents, no rusted out areas and sits straight.
    The fount is solid, again, no holes. The burner is correct and has an April 1909 date stamped into the brass.
    The clear globe is cast GC&SF RY in an round ended panel. The glass is clear, no cloudy areas and no cracks. The top and bottom rims show some signs of service and there is a small chip (no show in the frame) at the bottom rim. The glass also has the Cnx hallmark.
