    Description

Original hand carved Tifa drum from the Kamoro tribe in Papua New Guinea.  The traditional drum is the kind that is usually used during everyday events.  Elaborately carved Tifa's are used for ceremonial events or tourists. The Tifa was acquired 25 years ago from a visit to the coastal village Iwaka that is only accessible by dug out canoe.  The tifa measures 25" X 6" and has a great sound.  The head is made from monitor lizard skin and has 2 small cracks on the bottom. The antique original Tifa would make a great addition for any native drum collection, Papua New Guinea, or Pacific island collection.  Please review all photos.  All offers considered.  MAKE AN OFFER!!!
