    Description

    ITEM DESCRIPTION: Wow, what a beautiful rare find. A massive 48" tall carved headhunter statue, carved from a single tree trunk.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The wood is most likely Philippine Mahogany according to a woodworking friend of mine. Nicely detailed and a bit gory with a Bontoc Igorot warrior standing over a corpse, holding up a freshly severed head. Nicely detailed, this statue will demand a prominent spot in your collection, definitely a conversation piece.
    CONDITION: Very good. There is wear in the finish and a few areas of scratches as well as a few age cracks in the varnish (see pics).
    AGE: 1940s to 1950s.
    MEASUREMENTS: 48" tall, it weighs about 40 lb.
