~ Vintage Inca Storyteller Pendant/Pin Necklace
~ Pendant/Pin: Octagonal with hand tooled, openwork cut-outs depicting Incan Life; Focal point Chrysocolla Gemstone (20 x 15mm) & 18k Gold Tumi; The hinged bail swings in/out for pendant or brooch wear.
~ Pendant Stamps: “Arte Orfebre” which translates as Goldsmith/Silversmith Art. This could be a brand as many dealers state, but there’s no definitive info on such a maker. Also stamped with a Peru “Reg. Ind.” registration # 7789; Purity Marks 18k & 925 are present.
~ Handwrought Chain: 26” long, Bar Links, Hook & Eye Clasp stamped 925
~ The Tumi is an ancient knife characterized by a semi-circular blade that was used during ceremonies to sacrifice an animal to honor the God

Inti. Tumis were also used to perform cranial surgery. The figure on the handle is Naymlap, the fearless founder of a centuries-old dynasty who supposedly ruled the Lambayeque Valley in northern Peru. Many people in Peru hang a Tumi on their walls for good luck.
