Very Large, Antique, Carved Kava Bowl

I am delighted to offer this extra large, antique, Samoan Kava Bowl.  It's hand carved in the round of one block of wood. It has a deep, concave interior with pearling of kava residue. All resting on five short, tapered legs. The bowl shows fine, aged and varied brown to reddish-brown patina. Bowls of this kind, cut from a single block, were for the mixing of kava. It measures approximately 28” diameter x 9” high and is in very good antique condition. Most likely 18th Century.
