Vintage Carved Ebony Head w/ Pearl Shell Inlay, Solomon Islands

Description

This is a nice little man's head carved of blackest ebony in the Solomon Islands.  It's features are inlaid with pearl shell which really stands out against the ebony, 4" tall.  I do not know its age but it is certainly not new.  Now-a-days a brown wood is used for their commercial carvings.
