****** PRICE is 9 ***** This is a rare game-worn helmet of forward Craig Cunninghamfrom the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners in the team's inaugural 2016-17 season. He was named team captain and had 4 goals and 9 assists in 11 games before suffering a near-fatal heart attack on the ice during the pregame warmup of the Nov. 19, 2016 game against the Manitoba Moose at the Tucson Community Center. Cunningham developed an infection and had to have his lower left leg amputated a month later, ending his hockey career. The Roadrunners retired his #14 during a ceremony on Oct. 27, 2017. This
CCM helmet appears to be a size medium with a black CCM logoed visor. Moderate overall use with all original team logos, numbering and AHL decal. Cunningham was a 4th round pick of Boston in 2010 after playing in the WHL for Vancouver and Portland from 2006-11. He played for the Bruins from 2013-15 before signing with the Coyotes, where he played sparingly for two seasons. After recovering from his amputation, Cunningham worked for the Coyotes in scouting and player development. He now is a pro scout for the Vegas Golden Knights.
This helmet was obtained from the Roadrunners. **
